August 29, 2016

Ok we have had so many crazy miracles straight from God this week.
Like, insane. I guess I'll list a couple off.

1) Lyn. We were sitting updating our lessons when Lyn just comes up to
us and is like " hey I need to go to the bathroom, can you guys watch
my stuff?" So we're like yeah sure and we move to her bench. She comes
back out and we start talking to her and she is from some country
close to Thailand and Malaysia and she is Buddhist. The "God is in
everything" type. I asked her if she has ever learned much about
Christianity before and she says "no, can you tell me about it?" And
we teach her the restoration which she LOVED. we asked when we could
give her a copy of the Book of Mormon and she says "I'm free
tomorrow!" We bring an awesome member named Emily and teach the plan
of salvation and giver her the Book of Mormon and she is just SO
excited about it. It was amazing to see when she learned about all the
things Christ has done for her she said it made her feel so good. The
power of Christ atonement it so real!! In the closing prayer she just
breaks down bawling and says "I'm sorry I don't know why I'm crying I
am just so happy!!" And she is literally the cutest thing ever. She
couldn't come to church this week but wants to come next week!

2) Lauren. We were waiting for our bus when this girl walked past us
and so we compliment her shoes, as you mind missionaries doing. Well
she tells us where they are from and all but looks kind of in a hurry
and kinda just starts leaving and says bye and we kinda slacked on
this one and just said bye back but then, in the midst of her brisk
walk, she just halts to a stop out of nowhere, pauses, turns around
and says "what are your tags for?" We told her we were missionaries
and she asked if we were Mormon and we said yes. And she's like " this
is going to sound crazy but Mormons keeps just showing up in my life.
Aaaaand I think it's a sign from God. There are some things I don't
necessarily believe about your religion, but I can't really remember
what they are. But I think God is pulling me to it. " so we asked if
we could set up a time with her and she was SO excited. It was
straight crazy. Even through our imperfections and mistakes God  is
perfect and has a plan :) our district leader had us study scriptures
that had the wording "hear my voice" there were so many. They are all
so good. And many of them say "mine elect will hear my voice" I know
that even though there are so many people, and so many of them are
uninterested, that those who are prepared will hear the voice of the
Lord. Even if he's telling them to turn around and go back to those
Mormons on the bench hat everyone else is avoiding. I have a strong
testimony that there are people prepared everywhere!

We have also had a lot of awesome experiences working with a girl
named Gracie who has on and off investigated the church for over 2
years. We are the first sister to teach her and she needs to recieve
an answer from God that Joseph smith was a prophet. She is so awesome
it kills me.

I read a talk this morning by Jeffrey r holland titled the laborers in
the vineyard and it was so good! It talked about how we can be joyful
when others receive blessings from God, but even more so it talked
about how no matter how Late we are in joining God army, we can obtain
the fullness of Christs blessings. My favorite quote is from it is
"surely the thing God enjoys most about being God is the thrill of
being merciful, especially to those who don’t expect it and often feel
they don’t deserve it." Remember that you always deserve Gods
blessings and so does everyone around you! I know God is all merciful
and all loving and the more mercy and love we show to others, the
closer we become with Him :)

Love you all!! Have a great week!
