Hello fam bam!

First off some matters of business. the senior couple that
teaches institute here is Brother and Sister Dabb from Kaysville Utah!
Dad, brother Dabb knows you. They are pretty cool. Also Sadie Hall is
companions with Sister Scott, my granddaughter. So yeah good times. I
think I get to meet her next week!

Well great news! KANDYCE HAD HER INTERVIEW AND SHE IS GETTING BAPTIZED
THIS SATURDAY! She is so perfect it's crazy. She actually found the
church because she worked with a member who invited her to church and
now she has the strongest testimony ever! She has had a rough
upbringing and she knows that everything can be healed through Christ,
I love her so much!!

We had an interesting lesson with Dan. He didn't come to church and we
were trying to get ahold of him and our dumb phone received his
message 5 days after he sent it that said he quits the religion. We
set up a time to meet with him and he told us all these concerns he
had. He doesn't want to make new friends and he's afraid of losing
friends, his dad is like one of the head honchos in the Chinese
government and they aren't allowed to have any religious beliefs at
all, and he is afraid that his family will be mad and think he came
here to learn about God and waste time on religion when he should be
studying. But here's the best part hahahaha he felt soooo bad but said
he really only set up a time to meet in the first place because he's
basically in love with Sister Alius hahahaha this is literally the
strug being her companion on OSU but he apologized to the picture of
president monson that was in the room for saying that. Hahaha he's
sooo adorable. Then he felt super bad because he tells us "I rejected
your call twice, I've never done that to anyone before!!" So we
basically promised blessings and we are going to meet with him for 10
min every day this week to see if he can feel God in his life. The
cool thing is he brought up his grandpa who just passed away and said
he can't feel him, but he wants to. And then at the end he says " I
have to ask you two a question. You don't even know me, I could do bad
things and be a very bad person, why do you even want to help me?" And
we were able to testify of gods love for everyone. It was a really
powerful moment. He said the prayer at the end and it was so sincere
and perfect and he literally just repented right then and there it was
so cool. I asked him how he felt after praying and he said he felt
happy. God really has a hand in everyone's lives :)

Here's a cool story. So I have really really come to love fasting on
the mission. A lot. Because it literally brings miracles. So I was
kinda doubting and wondering if it was really doing much anymore
because I've gotten so accustomed to it so this week I focused extra
hard on it and while I was praying I asked God to help me continue to
feel the blessings that come. Sister Alius and I have really been
struggling to get people to church and new investigators have been
hard to get as well so I fasted very specifically for help in those
two things, and God ALWAYS keeps his promises! We got 4 people to
church this week! Which is more than 4x as many as we got the last 2
weeks combined :} haha so that we great. And even though we didn't
have a whole ton of contacting time on Sunday we were able to get the
2 new investigators we needed to complete our weekly goal! Fasting is
so underutilized, YOU ALL NEED TO TRY IT MORE.

Ps. 3rd nephite Taylor neuffer just got called as our new ward mission
leader and he's literally flawless. Quote from him this week "here's
my set schedule. Anything outside of that I should be pretty open. I
literally have nothing better to do with my time than the work of
salvation so"
