Hello Family!!
First off would you like to hear the transfer news? WE ARE GETTING DOUBLED OUT. So we were freaking out because 2 more OSU sets are also getting doubled out, and then we received the wonderful relieving news that Sister Gibson is going to OSU 1 so she gets to stay but she is moving :)
So let me tell you some even crazier new: so Lauren is preparing for baptism this Saturday the 3rd right? Well she has been kind of on the fence, and in her interview a question about the trinity came up and her interviewer cut the interview short, so she didn't finish. Well we have talked with her since, and she still wants to shoot for this Saturday! But she has doubts. But we had this insane crazy awesome lesson on Tuesday where she literally said, these are her words "The Book of Mormon has 100% definitely strengthened my faith in Christ" she also said a lot of crazy awesome things about her testimony... BUT SHE IS STILL EXACTLY 50/50 ABOUT THIS WEEK. Well,OSU 1 sisters are teaching a guy named Justin who is l Lauren reincarnated as a guy named Justin. They have the same questions, we teach them at the same time, they say the same things, but they've never met but they are totally going to get married. Oh, not to mention, they both chose their own baptism date of dec 3rd. Aka their sealing date of dec 3rd 2017. So anyway Justin is exactly 50/50 right now too.... so we are planning a double tentative baptism hahaha it's so great though! They are both so wonderful, and I don't know Justin super well, but Lauren will 100% get baptized. She has pretty much expressed that. It's just a matter of this week or in the weeks to come. Our last lesson was so sad, I had to tell her I was leaving and then I started bawling so she teared up and I gave her my ctr rig because she's perfect and deserves it. I have a feeling we're going to be friends for a long time. And that we have been friends for a long time. So keep her and Justin in your prayers, poor sister Gibson has to pretty much plan the whole double baptism in her own now hahaha.
We met a super cool guy named Justin. Another Justin! And we has a wonderful lesson with him. He has friend at BYU and after he met us he Skype his friend to tell him, and found out his friend is leaving on a mission soon! So the friend invited him over for a presentation to his friends of what his mission is, and Justin is excited to go! It's so wonderful. Not enough time to tell you about all his lessons but he is so great and so humble and we taught him how to pray for the first time and he's been praying like a champ since.
Well I'm so sorry I'm so scatter brained right now and don't have a lot of time but I do want to express how grateful I am for my mission--what it has taught me and how it has changed me. I know that each person in this universe is loved by an all loving, all knowing Father. I am so grateful that he sent his perfect, sinless son to overcome the world. To overcome all pain, all mistakes, and all losses. I know that Christ lives and I know his perfect love can heal any soul. I'm grateful for this opportunity to have constantly strived to apply his attributes. I am grateful that I have been able to fail so terribly at it too... because sometimes that's when I feel his hand the most. I have learned what it means to repent and to change and been so blessed to have the fulness of Christ teaching my whole life, but am so much more grateful to now understand them. I know we don't have to be held to a certain standard of perfection, because Christ already lived our standard of perfection and his mercy, and his justice, are all powerful. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus Christ restored his church through the prophet Joseph smith to enable us to make important, beautiful promises with our Father in Heaven that will bless us and help us progress for eternity, and one day enter into his rest. And I say these things in the named of Jesus Christ, Amen.
And I am grateful for each of you for playing an important role in teaching me these principles to prepare me for this blessing of a year and a half. I'm grateful for all your love and support and am so excited to see your lovely selves again.
See you in 5 :)
With all the love in the world
~Sister Hannie Pants
