April 4, 2016

Hellllloooooo!

I still absolutely LOVE this area! Sister Pollmann is from Beaver Utah and she
has been out for 8 months, she has been in Newark for 1 transfer.
She's really just awesome.
And ok here is my birthday wish list:

- a bunch of those kids ctr rings-- we teach and find lots of families
here and I ran out quick!
-a cheap paperback Book of Mormon. (1 sent to me, but then one for
everyone in the family in preparation for the challenge I'm going to
give you when we skype next month)
- for you guys to be happy and heathy and have the spirit with you a lot.
-and nothing else. Man I love you guys.

Ok let me tell you some of my life I guess:

We are teaching this coolest family ever: Jessica and Coleman and
their kids Emily, Kameron, and Savannah. The first time I went over
Savannah said probably 30x "I'm not used to you." Or "I'm used to
sister Pollman and sister Bradford" and during the lesson she would
point her styrofoam sword at me, squint her eyes, and say "not. Used.
To you." And as much as she might hate to admit it I think she warmed
up to me and she gave me a hug at the end and whispered in my ear
"still not used to you." Hahaha baby steps but they are seriously the
most flawless things ever. Jessica has diabetes so that's a good time
except not really at all because it has completely messed up her
intestines and she has this crazy condition that puts her in a lot of
pain and she throws up a lot. Satan is the worst and somehow she ended
up in the hospital on most Sunday's she wanted to come to church, as
well as this week when her and her family were going to watch
conference with another family in the ward. We went and visited her
and it was really hard to see but she has the most faith of just about
anyone I have met! Sister Bradford and sister Pollmann found her their
first day together so it's only been a transfer and she has already
read the Book of Mormon, bible, pearl of great price, and doctrine and
covenants. SHE IS SO AMAZING. They are working towards baptism but
between marriage and surgery it is a complicated process. But we
aren't giving up on their date of April 23rd!

When I got here, because it was my first day and sister Bradford and
Pollmann first door they knocked together was Jessica, we had as an
event on the schedule " find a Jessica" the cool thing is hat the
first door sister Pollmann and I knocked together was a guy named Nick
who claimed to not believe in God. But as we talked with him it was
very apparent that he did, he just didn't know what to believe. We
gave him a Book of Mormon and by the time we came back he was on (as
he called it) " Nephis 2nd" and he has been able to understand the
Book of Mormon so well and without us even saying anything he just
applies it to his life! It's so cool! He's still a little skeptical
but his heart is softening and we can see it!

We had a chapel tour with a couple names Sean and Ashley and their 2
kids. Sean is covered in tattoos and piercing and Gages and he is the
most sincere guy I have ever met. They both felt the spirit so
strong!! It was seriously incredible. As we were sitting in the chapel
at the end and Sister Pollmann was playing the piano he turns to me
and says "I can see myself going to church here. I can see myself
getting baptized" and they are now working toward June 11 th! They are
so great.

I wish I had time to tell you about everyone and everything. We
accidentally took way to long of a nap today though (we didn't get one
last pday)

Anyway I love you all so so so much and I hope you have the best week ever :)
~Sister Hill
