April 11, 2016

Hey fam moly,

Ok so thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes! Also for the fun
packages, sister Pollmann and I have enjoyed it a lot! Mannnn why do I
have the best family eva?  Ok let me think of what has even happened
this week my life is cray but in a good way. We had double exchange
this week so my brain is fried but we had so many cool miracles!! On
Tuesday, we found 15 new investigators in 1 day and we now have 19
people with baptismal date so June is looking pretty promising for us!
I'll tell you some of the miracles:

So we are teaching a deaf lady named Rhonda which is super cool. We
skype in the new Albany sisters because sister Alexander can do sign
language, but it's awesome because the gift of tongues (or hands) is
so real and we can actually communicate with her super well even
though she has always been deaf! Her husband is very against us coming
over so we had the other sister tell Ronda (because she didn't know
her husband had confronted us) and she was basically like " oh whateva
we'll just kick him out." Haha she was Jehovah's Witness before but
she is so excited to get baptized!!

Another miracle was meeting a guy named Ryan. Sister Pollmann and
sister parsons found him on exchanges and I've never met a more
prepared person ever. He told them that as they walked up something
told him that he was about to learn the truth. As we have taught about
e Book of Mormon he catches on so quickly and immediately can quote
bible references that support it! It's so cool. He knows the Book of
Mormon is true and that the plan of salvation is too! He remembered
the 3 kingdoms because when he was a kid he attended a Mormon church
once because a stranger came to his door and said "a little blond boy
here needs to come to church" and the mom was like " uh, Ryan is my
only blond boy" and somehow let him go. ISNT THAT CRAZY??? So he has
overcome a lot in his life and due to some circumstances won't be able
to get baptized for 2 more years and we were so nervous to break the
news to him but he completely understands and said he'll "just dive
into the font" when he can be baptized! He's so humble and awesome and
wants to go on a mission!! Mind you, we met him less than a week ago.

Ok another cool thing, sister Alexander and I on exchanges went to
teach a potential investigator I had never met and there were tons of
people living there and it's was crazy and awkward at first but we
asked if we could share a message with them and we sat down, had a
prayer, and had an amazing lesson!! We taught their whole family (that
was home) and we were trying to get their mom to say the prayer, and
no one wanted to say it because they were nervous and it turned in to
this battle of "well YOU need to pray for your husband so you say it"
and " no you need to pray for school so YOU say it" and on and on so
we settled on having a big prayer circle where we would each say
something we were thankful for and something we wanted to ask God. It
was incredible! They ALL said prayers and everyone was teary eyed. Two
of the daughters, Samantha and Ashley, came to church this week. It
was awesome!

On exchanges we also met a couple, he was baptist and she was pagan
lady who is basically a witch which was very interesting. We talked
with them super briefly before they said they had to go back inside so
we gave them a pamphlet and set up a time. Oh me of little faith
figured the return appointment would probably fall though AND LO AND
BEHOLD we get there and she has the pamphlet on the table and is like
" I read it. Tell me about it now" and it was way cool! Her husband
didn't want to listen to us so he was making dinner in the other room.
After long dispute we got her to pray and we asked her how she felt.
"Hungry" she says and assuming she's talking about her prepared
burrito that was waiting for in the the kitchen we kinda giggled and
said something like " well we hope your dinner is good to you" and
she's like " no, my soul is hungry. Which o guess means I need to be
reading more of what you have" oh what?? So that was super cool. Her
name is Michelle and she is way awesome.

Ahhh ok I'm so out of time. I only got through like, a third of them. Sorry.

I love you all so much!!!!
