January 25, 2016

Ayye,

It was fun to hear a few ways you were able to serve others this week!
#proudmissionary also that's super cool that you got to hear from
president Nelson and elder Soares, Elder and Sister Soares actually
spoke to me in the MTC! Also that skis on couch was funny, I remember
in high school during college week they said that everyone does that
at snow college because there is literally nothing else to do hahaha.

Yeah the bruise was pretty cool, it still
hurts though. It was fine except it hurt super bad when he pulled the
needle out and then after a bit I got this giant golf ball sized blob
of Nast status bulging out of my arm haha so they had to wrap it down
real tight. Yeah it's crazy that sister Farmer goes home next week,
it's like the worst ever haha cause sometimes it makes me feel like
I'm going home and gives me anxiety and makes me terrified for 10
months from now. The weather actually isn't bad right now but last
week it's was pretty cold. Like the coldness is fine but the wind and
humidity make it so that when we are tracting in 4 degrees the real
feel has made it a bit into the negatives. But it's a balmy 43 today
and I'm like, roasting to death.

Well worst update of all time. So I think I have mentioned before that
Molly has a learning disability so she has just recently been living
on her own and she works at goodwill and all but she is just so great.
Well she told her mom the day before her baptism and her mom got
absolutely furious at her so she called us to let us know she can't
join our church because that's what her mom said and what mom says
goes. It was really sad, we asked if we could come pray with her that
night and she said we could but texted is later to let us know that no
one was allowed in her apartment. So that like crushed me. Anyway I
was praying for her that night and I was all sad and stuff when the
words came to me " don't you know that she is my daughter and that I
have a plan for her?" The plan of salvation is always full of plan b's
so life will go on but keep praying for her!

Well here's an awkward funny story. So you could basically go ice
skating in the gutters here if you wanted and sometimes there are
really wide smooth spots of ice so we were walking to go see a
potential we had met named Jason and there is this really great spot
of ice, so of course I had to moon walk on it. Right as I am so in the
groove I look up and this guy in this house makes eye contact with me
and closes the drapes to his HUGE window. I turn to sister Farmer and
I'm totally kidding like "please tell me that's not Jason's house" but
then it actually was. So we knock on his door and have the awkwardest
contact of all time, both of us knowing he just watched me moonwalk on
his ice but both of us pretending it didn't happen. Needless to say
our return appointment so him fell through hahahaha.

Anyway everything is going great. The church is true, the book is
blue, and Jesus was a Mormon too.
