December 16, 2016

Ok, so still no wifi, whateva I'll just tell you some things about this week:

So we were able to have a lesson with this super nice lady named Pam.
Her husband just lost his brother and it was really cool because we
invited him to stay and listen with us but he said no and went in the
kitchen. A short time into the lesson he came and sat in the chair on
the other side of the room! Then, he even chimed in and got involved
with the lesson! He asked if we had another Book of Mormon so they
could both read it and he really opened up about his brother, which
Pam said he has NEVER done with anyone. People are prepared everywhere
and just waiting to hear the gospel! It's amazing how much the spirit
can come through truth and the way to encouraged him to learn more.
She has a baptism date now in January which makes 5 I believe!

We also had a lesson with our investigator Sam. Her boyfriend just got
out of jail and we got to meet him this week. We were a little worried
about what he would think of it all but he thought what we do is
awesome and like really sincerely thanked us for our service. Sam has
been struggling to keep her commitment to read the Book of Mormon and
Bob said that he would makes sure they read it together! He even said
the closing prayer and it was so sincere! You really can't judge a
person by anything, there is so much good in everyone! Being on e west
side of Columbus you can really gain a testimony of that.

Well we had a lot of other cool stuff too, but running low on time. In
zone conference this week we talked a lot about the sacrament and its
importance in our lives. That's something that has been pushed so much
and that I've gained so much of a great understanding for, but for
some reason it just really hit me extra hard this time! I never have
fully taken advantage of d sacrament in my life and the opportunity to
repent daily. I don't remember where I heard it is week but there was
a lady cleaning the temple and was all discouraged when she was done
and her cloth was still perfectly clean. The next time she went back
they explained to her that the temple isn't cleaned because it's
dirty, it's cleaned so that it never becomes dirty! I know that as we
really understand the sacrament and repent daily we can be spotless!

I love you all so much!
