Hello family!

Whale this week has been a pretty good and kinda weird one. We have
had lots of good stuff going on though! We have dropped Lacey for a
little bit while some things get worked out, but we sure haven't
forgotten about her! We were able to find a few new investigators this
week as well as get some really good lessons with investigators and
less active members. There is a guy here who used to be a bishop and a
stake leader and everything, but asked to have his named removed from
the records and left the church. He came close to coming back a few
years ago but it all fell through again, his wife is still extremely
strong in the church, as well as their daughters family who is in the
ward and I think it's pretty hard on them. I always had this feeling
that he would come when he was ready and never felt impressed to try
to teach the gospel to him. We actually went to go ask his wife a
question and he was the one that opened the door, as well as the only
one home. He was just talking and talking about his job and all this
other stuff and both me and Sister McMillan had the spirit tell us to
just listen. We listened for a long time but he eventually turned it
into a conversation about Joseph smith himself! It was really cool
because we were able to help him with some of his concerns, and
afterwards he thanked us because he said we knew that everything we
said was genuine and he could tell we really were trying to help him.
He may not be ready yet, but he promised to pray about Joseph smith
and about Gods love for him! It was a cool experience.

We also got the chance to do service with the Carsons. If you haven't
been able to tell yet, they are a less active family. Brother Carson
and 2 of their kids don't really want anything to do with the church
anymore which makes it harder for sister Carson and their other
daughter. After service, we had a SUPER good talk with Sister Carson.
We have been committing her to reading the Book of Mormon for the last
few weeks and she told us it has made a huge difference in her life.
She also opened up and told us that she know that she got more
blessings when she was coming to church and going to missionary
lessons. With e guidance of he spirit, we helped to realize the impact
it would have on her and her family if she set that example for them.
The next day she came to church all by herself. It was awesome!

Apparently I'm on a less active rampage right now but we also got a
record come in for a guy named Craig who had moved in. We went to go
meet him and his family and they were super nice! Apparently, he had
moved in clear back in February though, but he was happy to see us!
His wife and 3 year old daughter were very nice too :) we left them
with our number and he actually called us to ask what time church was
and at he wanted to bring his daughter! All it takes is a little
reaching out :)

So we have been hoping to get the ward involved a whole bunch more but
his ward is a little hard to... Involve haha. It's cool though because
the ward council and bishopric are starting to see the need and
urgency, and we have been working much better with them in finding ways
to get the ward involved! We've already seen huge changes and
blessings from that, and our up coming week looks really promising!

We're hoping to go out and find some more people this week as some of
our investigators have fizzled out a little, so pray for us!

I love you guys and hope you all have a great week!
~Sister Hill
