darn soon! Those pictures were so fun, I sure love you guys! To answer
some questions: Shaun, the busy guy with the girlfriend, hasn't met
with us again yet. We don't really know what happened, but we went
over the other day and actually had a great interaction with his
fiancé but it was short because they were having a birthday party...
We hope she's warming up to us, we told her that we really like her
jacket (women.... Tell em what they like to hear...) so we'll see! The
weather here was really cold last week. But this week is absolutely
perfect! Yes, TONS of osu fans and we are about 30 minutes away. No
pancreas pancakes this year, it was fast Sunday! Not to mention we
don't have pancake supplies.... But we still celebrated with candy :) that's great news about mah boi joe. I'll have to
watch the last 3 seasons when I get home ;) haha tell cam that honors
society was my fav.... Do you know how many girls hair I almost lit on
fire? And then I accidentally blew out my candle with my laughter and
it was so awkward. honors society for life. My poison ivy is... I
dunno it's doing weird crazy things now and my mission Doctor is like
"uh....?" So it's going pretty good. My fasting blood sugars are
pretty good but I probably go low once ever other fast Sunday... Can
you believe I've been out for almost 6 months? It's crazy, I've been
doing a ton of packing today hahahaha... But we'll find out next week!
with... Vicky is a lady that we have had three lessons now and she is
really intrigued by the Book of Mormon but she is super high up in her
church.... Which makes her afraid of change and afraid of her answer
that the Book of Mormon is true, but we know she feels the spirit a
lot, it's gonna be tough but she is very prepared! Joshua is a guy
that sister Bradford and I met one day that he had " only had 2 beers
and smoked weed once" haha but we actually had a lesson with him this
week and he said all he knew about Mormons before was not to open the
door when they came on Saturday mornings haha but he felt like he
needed to talk to us and apologized for never giving the Mormons a
chance, he's really trying to make a change in his life, and he very
enthusiastically accepted baptism! We'll have to teach him the word of
wisdom... But one step at a time :)
get close with the ward, meet the friends that they all invited, and
our investigator Amanda showed up with her 2 yr old son Jude! It was
awesome because she told us that she has always wanted a sense of
community for Jude and she really sees at in the church. She has been
reading e Book of Mormon for 5 minutes every night for the last few
weeks and we have taught her a few lessons! It gets tricky because she
is a single mom of a VERY energetic kid but she is starting to realize
the blessings that come from the church! Not to mention she was able
to meet a lot of ward members and she and Jude had a great time at the
activity!
like, half of our ward trick or treated on Thursday and half did on
Saturday... And there's a city that had trick or treat from 1-2 on
October 25... It's SUPER weird.
talked on the subject of believing and knowing. One member pointed out
that when Jesus is healing the guys son who has all sorts of problems
he asks if he believes and the man says " Lord I believe. Help thou my
unbelief" many people spoke about how some things they may not know
perfectly, but I exercising the things we believe we can come to a
sense of knowledge as we see it work in our every day lives. I may not
know everything, in fact there are a TON of things in this gospel
that I don't KNOW, but I know 100% know that this church is true and
that it truly blesses the lives of anyone willing to take the
outstretched hand of Jesus Christ.
