Glad to hear you guys are doing well, I sure love you all, you know
that? To answer some questions: no transfers for us! I am still just
chillin in Powell like its the only place I know. Oh wait, it is ;)
but I love Powell so it's great! Me and sister McMillan are doing
well, she is one heck of a great missionary! just so you know I had to go buy boots. You probably guessed that it absolutely killed me to
spend $120 on boots, but they were the only ones suitable for winter
(I have heard horror stories here about feet boots and winter.) but I
also got some great tracting shoes for like $20 (because I have
already worn 2 pairs of shoes to pure SHREDS. I'll have to send you a
picture of them sometime)
write down all of the things that happen so I don't forget and have
nothing to tell you every week as it usually goes.... To answer about
Lacey we haven't seen her in person for a long time because things are
so crazy. We set up
a time to see her today! We definitely need to do some rekindling of
the spirit and joy she found in the gospel but she is doing well and
still wants to get baptized! Her new hopeful date is November 14th. We
have had some great service opportunities this week which is great
because service is really hard to find here! We have been trying to
find new investigators which has been going well but none that are
super progressing or anything but we have a ton that we are inviting
to watch conference with us at members houses which will be really
good! That's our biggest project right now, but conference is so cool
because it will really help people feel the spirit and gain a
testimony of prophets and apostles! Robin, our investigator who was on
date, is kinda having commitment issues so we are in a make or break
phase with her right now, so any prayers for her would be appreciated!
are the odds" mission edition. (This is where you say to someone "what
are the odds that you will *insert task here*" then they will say
something like "1 in 6" and you both pick a number between 1 and 6 and
if it's the same you have to do it. I never really did play it on the
mish because I feel like if it's reasonable you should do it anyway
and of its not reasonable you shouldn't but the other day there was a
policeman parked on the side of the road looking for suspicious
activity with his window down so I said "Sister McMillan, what are the
odd that you will preach the gospel to that policeman in his car?" And
she was like 1 in 4. Fortunately, the spirit is the master of this
game so we both picked 2 and she said to me "is it Illegal to go talk
to cops about this?" And I said "I dunno" so she says "let's find out"
and walks up to the policemans window and says "is it illegal for me
to tell you what I know?" And he says ".....no....." And was being
super standoffish but sister McMillan just bears her testimony to him
and he wasn't interested but I was still so impressed that she did it!
So she turns to me and says "what are the odds that you'll trek
through this backyard to talk to that lady playing baseball with hin r
kids?" (They were really far away and it was a really awkward
situation and far in heir backyard) but I said " 1 in 5" and the
spirit is still the master of this game so we both said 4. She was
super standoffish too and it was way awkward but it's ok because
EVERYONE NEEDS THE GOSPEL. Moral of the story: share it with everyone.
